Meagan and Mike met through volleyball in late 2013, but they didn’t really know each other because Mike played in A Grade (fancy!) and Meagan played in C Grade (lame!). However, they became friends after a terrible attempt to sing karaoke together at a volleyball tournament in Taupo.
Fast forward a few years, and Mike and Meagan’s relationship blossomed into more than friends, despite Meagan’s attempts to kill Mike with mountain biking.
Having known each other for several years, they became very close very quickly and, since then, have gone on many adventures together. Aside from forcing the other to learn each other’s favourite activities – mountain biking and diving – they’ve also maneuvered the distinct differences in culture (Disney versus snobby European). Many would say it is a miracle that they are still together, given the massive culture clash. But they somehow made it work (*enter Barry White music here*).
They’ve since then bought a house, expanded their family (by adopting two cats) and had heaps of great experiences together, which included some massively improved karaoke sessions. Don’t feel shy to ask them to sing their favorite songs on the wedding day (yes, of course there will be karaoke, are you crazy?).
These days, they are busy arguing over punctuation for the wedding website and whether Mike or Meagan is right. Well we all know that answer…
